How to Enroll
Thank you for your interest in CASCADE Family Learning Services. Probably the only family learning community in India for open schooling and home-schooled children. We understand enrolling in a new learning space is a big step for you and your child, which is why we hope to provide all the information you need here in this section. We would appreciate if you can spend some time browsing through our site and about Montessori before applying. We look forward to a long time association with our families. A Montessori learning co-operative that requires active participation from parents, unlike regular schools. We have intakes through the year depending on certain parameters and availability.
Welcome to CFLS
Our enrollment process
1 - WRITE UP
PARENTS MUST SEND A WRITE-UP CONTAINING:

to admissions.cascadefls@gmail.com. A meeting will be scheduled.
** Both parents should sign up an agreement of acceptance of Cascade FLS and it's guidelines for the family.
** The premises may need to move within the Corporation zone a few kilometres, due to rental increase or space constraints. Parents agreeable to adapt to this condition is essential for admission.
2 - HOME VISIT
As the next step towards admission, the guides team will make a home visit and recommend changes if needed in the home space as well as practices towards habit formation at home.
3 - THE CHILD IS INVITED TO THE ENVIRONMENT
If the child is over 6 years, the child will be invited to be in the environment. Provided that the child is showing interest in the environment and the guides observe a quick settling in, we will recommend the next steps to proceed. If however, the guides observe settling issues, parents will be called in for a discussion to know how to proceed, either with CASCADE FLS or some other education space.
4 - ENVIRONMENT OBSERVATION BY PARENTS
If the child is of elementary age, the parents are to observe Casa and Elementary environment for one day each. If the child is of Casa age, the parents would be invited to observe Casa and Elementary environments for two days to a week each depending on the guide's discretion.
5 - ADMISSION FORM & FEES
With over 10 hours of personal interactions with the family, and the child, it would emerge as a successful admission and the admission form is sent to be printed, filled and submitted along with the first installment of fees and the deposit.
6 - STUDY CIRCLES
A monthly study circle online or onsite will be offered to the parents. It is expected that one or both parents (members of extended family too can be invited) attend these, inorder to learn and adapt a positive , respectful Montessori way of parenting at home.
7 - CHILD STARTS COMING IN
The child starts coming in as per timings arrived upon, with or without the parent.
8 - ORIENTATION SESSION
Before or after the child enters the classroom, parents would be invited for an orientation session with Mrs. Vidya Shankar to understand their role, responsibilities, adherence to guidelines, leadership, and organisation expectations. If, by some chance, the continuation is not possible due to mismatch of expectations within a month the parents are intimated immediately for them to look at other alternatives. Through the academic year, if there is discordance, there is a conflict resolution mechanism that is available and needs to be adhered to, without precipitating the matter with other parents. If it is not resolved, our exit policy will be intimated to the parent.
